Rock N' Roll Muscle

It was March of 1951; R&B masters Jackie Brenston and the Delta Cats released "Rocket 88". Now some say it's the first rock and roll record ever recorded, I like the think so with lyrics about not just a car, but the very first American Muscle Car.

The Delta Cats song was straight up ode to the awesomeness of the powerful Rocket V 8 engine.

The Oldsmobile 88 kicked it so hard on the track it earned the title as First King of NASCAR.
